The Many Saints of Newark is a "Sopranos" origins story if you will. It stars Michael Gandolfini (James Gandolfini's son) as a young Tony Soprano who never wanted to be a gangster. However guided by family, friends and other father-like people, he really had no choice but to become a Mobster. The film also stars, Alessandro Nivola, Leslie Odom Jr., Ray Liotta, Michela De Rossi, Vera Farmiga, Jon Bernthal and Billy Magnussen.
I actually saw this months ago but never wrote a review, Probably because it is a decent film but somewhat forgettable. The acting is great and the story isn't bad but it would have been better served as a spinoff series if you ask me.
