Closing Night WORLD PREMIERE Beyond Fest screening, with Guillermo Del Toro and Scott Cooper in person!
The screening was lots of fun. The movie didn’t blow me away, but it’s well-acted, well-made, and atmospheric, with a good creature. Worth seeing.
Although I will say that if Scott Cooper really wants to step outside of his comfort zone, maybe he should do a comedy. I’ve seen all five of his films and he seems almost averse to allowing his audience to have any fun whatsoever. I thought a monster movie might change that somewhat, but nope!
