Actual dialogue from the movie: “Why make a
sequel to something if you’re just going to ruin it?” Couldn’t have said it better myself, because wow, this is unimaginative and disappointing.
It’s great to see so many people from the original again, as well as some cool newcomers (Wesley Snipes, Tracy Morgan, Leslie Jones...) but it would have been even better to have come up with a halfway decent storyline that builds on the original instead of just making references to that movie every 30 seconds and treating the characters as if none of them had changed in any way in the last 30 years.
Awesome costumes and sets though, I can say that!
