Watched Jun 6, 2023 The Flash is the first stand-alone film starring Ezra Miller as the title character. Having helped save the world...
Not perfect, as it gets too buried in bombast toward the end, but it’s really fun and well-cast. The story is a solid continuation of the original, and if I’m being honest, it’s probably the better-made film (yes, the original did not hold up especially well for me the last time I revisited a few years ago.)
Kickass and surprisingly eclectic soundtrack too (Parliament, the Shirelles, the Buzzcocks, Shirley Ellis…)
I’ll be there for the sequel for sure!
