Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard is a sequel to Hitman's Bodyguard. The first story is about a Hitman played by Samuel L Jackson who enlists the help of a Bodyguard in Ryan Reynolds as he is being hunted because he is scheduled to testify again a Dictator in Europe. Jackson is also married to Salma Hayek in that film, who is in prison for most of the film.
In this one, Reynolds is no longer working as a Bodyguard and has taken a vacation in Italy, when he is enlisted to help Salma Hayek find her husband who has been kidnapped. All three of them end up in the middle of a complicated plot where they are forced by Interpol to assist in making a buy from a Terrorist organization. This film also stars Antonio Banderas and Morgan Freeman. I liked the first film and also enjoyed this one as well. They are pretty dumb Action/Comedies but I laughed quite a bit. I felt that giving Salma Hayek a bigger role in this film allowed her to steal the show. She is very profane and crude which makes for some very funny moments throughout the film. The film is far from perfect, but I had a good time watching it.
