Shazam! Fury of the Gods is the sequel to the 2019 surprise hit film. In this film Shazam and his crew have unknowingly released a group of 3 sisters who are Ancient Gods who come to earth, and have a mission to gain more power, or something of that aspect. At the same time, the younger and human versions of the Shazam! crew are also grappling with managing their alter-egos as well as growing up. The film stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Rachel Zegler, Adam Brody, Ross Butler, D.J. Cotrona, Grace Caroline Currey, Meagan Good, Lucy Liu and Helen Mirren.
I really enjoyed the first film and found the 2019 version to be very entertaining as well as fun. This one falls a little flat in my opinion. The villain's motives were confusing, as well as the plot overall, and I just really didn't care what happened to anyone in this film. Pass on this one folks!
