The Midnight Sky stars George Clooney as a Scientist, who has spent his life searching for other planets that could contain life for humans. He has been given some terminal diagnosis right in the middle of an "Event" that is killing basically all life on Earth. Meanwhile there a Spacecraft, unaware of this event that is headed for Earth experiencing its own issues. Hard to really summarize this film but basically it is a watered down version of Gravity in my opinion. I can't say I was bored but there wasn't anything that interesting or original for me to like this film. It was basically, just ok.
