SacTown Film Festival (STFF)

 

SacTown Film Festival (STFF) is one the areas largest Premiere 3-day Festival Events, with our 4th Year in operation. We are expecting 1000 Attendees in April 2026! The Festival will be hosted at Esquire iMAX, in Sacramento, CA, the Largest Theater in the Greater Sacramento Area. The festival focuses on showcasing Independent film to help promote Local, US and International Filmmakers. We emphasize and help facilitate networking and collaboration of our filmmakers, actors, and attendees.

 

We will have a 3-day film festival including, a Mixer on April 10th, 2026, and also 2 full days of films including, Short Films, Feature Films, Animation, Web Series, Music Videos, Environmental Films, Student Films and Documentaries.
 

There will be a red carpet, networking, interviews with the filmmakers after each block, and an awards ceremony; where trophies will be presented to the award winners. We are known for being part Film Festival and Part Award show.

Award Winners will receive a Trophy, free merch,), a feature/Interview on SacTown Media Buff's TV, which will be featured on Television, our YouTube Channel (over 3k Subscribers), Podcast, Facebook (over 5k Followers) and Instagram (over 22k Followers).

Rules & Terms

SacTown Film Festival (STFF) SUBMISSION RULES

1. STFF competition is open to the United States and International entries.
2. All Films must be in DCP Format and shot at 24 FPS or must be converted to 24 FPS to for playback.
3. All films must submit online preview screeners.
4. Foreign language entries must have English language subtitles.
5. Entries must have been completed in the past 2 years.
6. Applicants may submit as many entries as they wish, as long as each entry has a separate entry form and fee.
7. Any physical materials mailed in, must be labelled with submitter contact information. All emails must include the name of your film.
8. Any materials mailed in will not be returned to the submitters.
9. SMBFF has the right to screen any film or projects submitted to the SMBFF. SMBFF does not pay screening fees.
10. If Selected, the Director, Producer or a Film Crew Member must be present at Screening.
11. If [a film is] officially selected, it is the responsibility of the submitter to send the festival their film in digital format, as requested by festival.
12. All decisions made by the festival are final and at their discretion.
