Tar stars Cate Blanchett as Lydia Tar, a professional Orchestra Conductor who is involved in several scandals including Sexual Abuse of Power, and some other issues that have threatened her position at her Academy. The film also co-stars Nina Hoss, Noémie Merlant, Sophie Kauer, Julian Glover and Mark Strong.
I enjoyed this film and thought the acting was great. The film is a bit long, however. Blanchett delivers a powerful performance, but I just wished they could have trimmed about 30 minutes off the film. I think she delivers one of the best performances of 2022 and there are some remarkably interesting parts of the film, but I found myself looking at my watch and pausing the film a few times as well.
