Pig is the latest Nicolas Cage film that is now playing in theaters and currently on Hulu. In this film, Cage stars as a mysterious man named Rob living in the wilderness who has a truffle Pig, and together they find truffles and trade them for items, food and goods needed to live in the woods. We don't know much about why he is living in the woods but it seems that he chose this life for some reason. At some point his pig is stolen and now Rob much go into the city to find him!
First off, if you read the synopsis or watch the trailer you might think this is going to be a Nicolas Cage version of "John Wick", where his pig is stolen and he goes on a rampage fueled killing spree in order to get his pig back. However, you will be very disappointed if that is what you think is going to happen. Pig is not an action film, it is more of Thriller or Drama. As the film goes on we learn more and about Rob's character and find out many of the reasons why he choice the life he lives. However we do not get to see any John Wick action, or really any Crazy Cage! Overall I thought the film was a bit slow for my taste. It isn't a bad film but just not enough Action/Suspense, and I found the ending to be a bit of a let down.
