tick, tick...BOOM! is a semi-Biopic and Musical staring Andrew Garfield as Johnathan Larson, the creator of "Rent". The film focus on a brief period in Jonathan's life before his 30th Birthday. He's been working on a Musical for like the past decade and is also working in a diner to pay his bills. He has a girlfriend and friends who all seem to be doing well, but he has been struggling to make ends meet and decide to take a leap of faith to quit his job in order or pursue his dream of a putting on a Broadway Musical.
I will be the first to admit that I'm not a big fan of Musicals. I always find it a bit silly whenever people break character and start singing and dancing for no reason. This one was a little better than some, but I still didn't love it. I felt the acting was great, but it just isn't my cup of tea.
