Adam Driver vs. dinosaurs? In a movie that is actually based on an original idea? Not a sequel, prequel, remake, reboot, franchise extension, intellectual property, or a homework assignment for some comic book “cinematic universe?” And on top of all that, it’s only 93 minutes long? FUCK YES.
I wish 65 embraced its inherent cheesiness a bit more and were a little more fun. This is, after all, a movie that feels like it could have come out in 1995 starring Christopher Lambert (and I mean that as a compliment). But it gives you what you sign up for. Adam Driver vs. dinosaurs! That plus the breath of fresh air it represents in the IP swamp we’re currently living in, is more than enough!
Plus it’s way better than the last two Jurassic World movies!
