A 97-minute tension machine, with VERY little fat on the bone.
In these days when every big Hollywood movie feels the need to be at a minimum two hours long even when it’s not justified, this kind of directness and focus is to be cherished.
I also really liked that this movie is mostly all about the kids, with Emily Blunt noticeably taking a bit of a backseat and letting them be the heroes for the most part. That was a nice surprise. Also, Millicent Simmonds should be in every movie from now on, because she rules. Rating might go up next time, we’ll see!
