A visually extravagant, well-acted, and beautifully-made film noir from one of my favorite filmmakers…that I just never fully got into.
Upon thinking about it a bit more I upped it half a star, though. This was to some degree the way I felt after watching Crimson Peak the first time, only to enjoy it much more on a rewatch a while later, so time may tell!
