Da 5 Bloods is a Spike Lee film, streaming on Netflix about 4 (technically 5) Vietnam Vets who return back to Vietnam 50 years later in order find the body of one of their troop and bring his body back to the US for a proper burial. They are also on the hunt for some buried gold as well. Overall this was not a bad film but is very messy and kind of all over the place. Is it a drama, an action film, or a buried treasure film? Not really sure what he was going for with this film. The acting is great, and story is decent but it is all over the place and it all feels very long as the running time is 2 and a half hours. I feel it could have easily been cut down by at least 20-30 minutes. Overall I enjoyed it, but again not really a film I personally would need to revisit.
