His House 2020 ★★★
His House is horror film about a couple who flee the Sudan and immigrate to the UK. They are provided with a house and stipend and enjoy their new home until creepy things start happening inside their house; many of which are images of their daughter who died while they were traveling to the UK.
I enjoyed this film. It was very creepy and in many ways original as there really haven't been many horror films based on the Sudan. In fact much of the horror comes from flashback scenes while the couple was still living in the Sudan. My only minor gripe is that the film feels very simple in many ways as the couple spend most of their time inside the house. Other than a pretty good horror film.
