Kierre's Review of In Search of the Last Action Heroes★★★★

Watched Aug 23, 2020

In Search of the Last Action Heroes is a Documentary film about great action heroes in film. The film starts back from the 1950's and rolls through most of the 1980's into the 2000's discussing some of the best action films and action stars of all time, including films such as The Terminator, Die Hard or Bloodsport.

I actually had seen In Search of Darkness first, as I wasn't aware that this film has existed just a month prior. In my opinion, I actually favor this film to In Search of Darkness, not only because I'm more into Action Films than Horror, but also because it only has a 2 hour and 20 minute running time vs 4 and a half hours of In Search of Darkness. The major difference between both films is that in this film they cover almost all decades of action film vs just focusing on the 1980's. Because this film is half the time, they do not cover every great action film but spend more time talking about each film which I enjoyed. I found the film to move at a great pace and also discovered a few films that I hadn't seen before which I may now check out. If you are an Action Junkie like myself, I highly recommend checking this one out!
