I’m exactly the right age to immensely enjoy a documentary about the heyday of Nickelodeon, so that’s exactly what I did! This is a lot of fun. YOU CAN’T DO THAT ON TELEVISION, DOUBLE DARE, HEY DUDE, REN & STIMPY, SALUTE YOUR SHORTS, FINDERS KEEPERS, ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK?, THE ADVENTURES OF PETE & PETE, CLARISSA EXPLAINS IT ALL, DOUG, KENAN & KEL...and so many more. I didn’t even watch all of those shows - only those first four and bits of the others, but they left such an indelible impression on me and it’s great to see them (as well as many many others) discussed in detail. I think my love of YOU CAN’T DO THAT ON TELEVISION contributed heavily to my lifelong love of absurdist, surreal humor. And man, what I wouldn’t have given for the chance to be a contestant on DOUBLE DARE when I was a kid!
