Free Guy stars Ryan Reynolds as a video game character who is usually in the background. He not the action hero or the character you can play. He is just a bank teller who does the exact same thing everyday of his life including getting robbed and killed. One day he notices and woman who he becomes fascinated with and then starts to act out of character and become famous.
There's a bit more to the story but really, you are just watching Ryan Reynolds be, well Ryan Reynolds. He's the same goofy, yet sarcastic character he's always played since, Van Wilder, really. The film has a few funny parts here and there, and isn't bad or anything but otherwise there are much better "Video Game" films out there, including Ready Player One. I'd recommend if you are just looking for a few laughs.
