Jolt stars Kate Beckinsale, as Lindy, a female bouncer with severe anger issues. She has so much rage and is so violent that she needs to be slightly electrocuted in order to calm her anger. She even has to wear a harness that will shock her anytime she get enraged. Because of her severe rage, she has struggled with intimacy but soon meets a guy that she doesn't want to beat up immediately. Soon after starting a relationship with this new man, he is killed and it sends Lindy on a revenge killing spree! The film also stars Stanley Tucci, Bobby Cannavale, Jai Courtney, and Laverne Cox.
Look, I'm an action junkie so of course I liked it. The plot and story are pretty weak but the fight scenes and deaths are magnificent and that really all you can expect from a good action film. There are several films that this reminded me of, including Crank, Atomic Blonde and even John Wick but I still had a good time. The film is far from perfect but not a bad way to spend an hour and a half.
