Last Night in Soho stars Thomasin McKenzie as a young girl named Eloise, who is living in England who is obsessed with the 1960's. She loves the music and fashion from that time period and is provided with an opportunity to attend a Fashion school in London. However upon arriving at school her dorm roommate is very mean to her and makes fun of her clothing and taste in music. So she finds a house with a room for rent that is owned by an old lady. Each night that Eliose goes to sleep in this house she starts dreaming or living vicariously though the eyes of a young woman from the 1960's named Sandie who is played by Anya Taylor-Joy. Sandie is also very into fashion and is an aspiring Singer and Dancer. Initially Eliose loves the dreams as this gives her many ides for fashion designs in school. However soon Sandie's life starts taking a darker turn and eventually things from Eliose's dreams start appearing in real life and she feels that Sandie was a real person and something tragic may have happened to her.
The pacing of this film felt a little slow, especially for a film being billed a Horror film. I wasn't completely sold on the film as watching it felt a little long and I can't say I was always entertained throughout. However the film does save itself by presenting an interesting twist that I didn't see coming.
