Passing is the Black and White story set in the 1920's about the one time that Tessa Thompson briefly tried passing for a white woman! She basically was trying to copy her even more light-skinned friend Ruth Negga who actually was living her life as a white woman.
This really all you need to know about the film. I just didn't really see what was so special about this one. It was slow and there was really never any danger of these two ladies trying to pass for white as they only are in a white neighborhood for about 10 minutes of the film. The rest of the film is set in black Harlem where Ruth Negga's character basically just there to hit on Tessa Thompson's husband. That is literally the entire film. I do not recommend this one.
