Selah and the Spades 2019 ★★½

Pretty good as a first feature, it’s got style and I liked some of the pieces, but they don’t cohere into a satisfying whole.   The world created here, somewhere between the noir surrealism of BRICK and the rich-kids-gone-bad of BETTER LUCK TOMORROW is potentially interesting, but the accompanying story is predictable and just not that interesting.
