I, too, have a really close relationship with my Mom and had a tough time adjusting to college and adulthood in general, but even I was like “Dude, grow up!” at a certain point. The first half of this movie is basically BEFORE SUNRISE for millennials and it’s pretty good. I got a bit tired of the main characters in the middle, but it finishes pretty strong and is very well-acted and probably pretty realistic (says the guy who was a lonely freshman in college 25 years ago).
