Pixar has flirted in the past with truly strange concepts and visual ideas, but this is the first time that I think it might go over a lot of younger kids’ heads even on a basic story level. However, that’s not a demerit in my opinion, because this is some truly ambitious, imaginative, and mind-expanding stuff, and it’s one of the most visually beautiful films I’ve seen in ages. At first I wasn’t totally sold on the body-swap storyline, but it won me over. And if this movie gets even one kid into the true beauty of music, it’s a wonderful thing. Definitely redeemed my day after WONDER WOMAN 1984!
