Avatar: The Way of Water is the long-awaited sequel to the epic blockbuster hit that premiered back in 2009. In this film, Jake Sully and Neytiri now have a family with kids, (two are basically adopted). The "Sky People" have now returned (with an old foe), and the Sully Family are being hunted. Rather than risking the lives of the village people, Jake decides to relocate his family to a new tribe who reside on a group of islands which is some distance away. Their family must integrate with the island people and learn to dive and swim as well as they do in order to fit in and survive. Meanwhile, "the sky people" are still on the hunt to find where the Sully family has relocated to.
I really enjoyed this film. It is quite long, being and over 3-hour runtime, but I honestly do not see much that needed to be cut. It was exciting, moving, touching, action-packed and it was ART! This is going to be quite a crowd-pleasing film and is one of the best films of 2022! I strongly recommend seeing this on the big screen!
